For those of you that are thinking of trading bricks and mortar for a park home, or you’re a current park home owner looking for a change of scenery, a number of sites throughout the country will be holding open weekends to give you a taster of the atmosphere and facilities they have to offer.
On 7th/8th July, Takeley Park in Hertfordshire will open its doors to the public, as will Cunninghamhead Estate in Ayrshire, Scotland.
The following weekend (14th/15th July) newcomers will be welcome to visit Parklands of Lincoln, Waterbeach Park in Cambridge and Norfolk’s Rymer Point Park.
Head down to the south west on 27th/28th July if you’re interested in taking a look at Tregatillian Park in Newquay or journey north to view Lincolnshire’s Westgate Park and Seaview Park in Hartlepool, County Durham.
Open weekends are not just a great opportunity to get a feel for a park home site; they also give you the opportunity to discuss regulations and practicalities with the site owner/operator and chat to residents about the positives and negatives of the area. This puts you in the best possible position for making a decision about where you’ll feel most at home.
When you’ve chosen your favourite park home site and bought your park home, make sure its protected all year round by taking out specialist park home insurance. If you’re moving your existing home and already have park home insurance, don’t forget to update your details to ensure your policy is up to date.
