An Essex country estate has won the right to be transformed into a state-of-the-art holiday lodge park.
Elm Farm Country Park, which is located in the village of Thorpe-le-Soken, will be transformed into a 22-acre leisure site by its owners, Neil and Sarah Morris.
Among the developments taking place are the paving of access roads, natural gas pipes laid, the creation of a secure entrance with electronic gates and the installation of CCTV and WiFi internet access.
The park will open for static home and holiday lodge owners next year when the first 33 sites become available in spring. Another 90 plots will be developed during 2013 and added recreational features such as a fishing lake will also be completed.
A number of static caravans are already sited at Elm Farm Country Park and these will be upgraded to newer leisure lodges.

Wherever your leisure lodge is located, make sure it’s covered against accidents or damage by a holiday lodge insurance or static caravan insurance policy. More information on Coast’s leisure lodge cover is available by calling Freephone 0800 614 849.
