More than 250 people turned out to support an exhibition in Bracknell last month outlining plans to expand a popular park home site in the area.
Warfield Park already has 510 residential park homes, however its management company would like to add a further 176 properties over the next 15 years.
The exhibition, which took places at Warfield Park Community Hall, gave members of the local area and potential park home residents the opportunity to see how the site will grow over the next decade and the benefits it will bring to the locality.
“The park continues to evolve, and has reached a stage where it needs to make some important decisions,” advised Warfield Park Limited Managing Director, Barry Sumner. “The park’s utilities need investment to modernise them, and this has to be financed. In particular, the overhead electricity network – the only one of its kind serving a park home estate remaining in the UK – needs replacement.
“There is a housing need in Bracknell for affordable low cost homes, especially for young families wanting to get on the housing ladder, and older residents, or ‘empty nesters’, who want to downsize to something more manageable now the family has moved out. Warfield Park is ideal to meet some of those needs.”
In addition to creating more housing, the plans also include the creation of a green open space that will be open to the public as well as park home residents.
