With hundreds of caravan sites scattered across the UK, it’s hard to choose which one to visit. Here’s a list put together but the Coast team of what we believe to be some of the top costal caravan sites that the UK has to offer.
Hollins Farm, Carnforth, Lancashire
Coming in at number one is the ‘traditional’ Hollins farm campsite which consists of pitches, natural beauty, a play area and a facilities building. This campsite is great for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life as it is surrounded by beautiful scenery perfect for long peaceful walks along the Morecambe bay. With its adjoining farm site and animals children will be easily kept amused whilst exploring the great outdoors.
Whitby Holiday Park, North Yorkshire
Another great costal caravan site is the Whitby Holiday Park in North Yorkshire. This site is in a great location for those who want to get out and explore what Whitby has to offer as it is only a mile away from the centre. Whitby’s main attraction is its picturesque port which is the perfect place for a day out. There are also many beautiful nature trails surrounding the park for those who want to take in the natural beauty of the area.
Black Robin Farm, Eastbourne, East Sussex
This caravan site is positioned on the South Downs, only a few minutes away from the iconic Beachy Head and in a prime location for guests to visit the local coastal town of Eastbourne. There is a bus running from the site to the town centre making it accessible to all. This site is great for those who want to explore the local more urbanised area, as well as for those who want to take in the stunning natural views. The Seven Sister’s Chalk Cliffs are also nearby, providing visitors with a variety of walkways along the coast to choose from.
Country View Holiday Park, Sand Bay, Somerset
Country view Holiday Park is perfect for those who are after a great location with lots to do! The campsite is positioned only 200 yards from the beautiful beach and open top buses run along the sea front for anyone who wants to take in the sites without walking. The town centre has a wide array of shops and cafes which are lovely to have a leisurely stroll around.
Whitehill Country Park, Paignton, Devon
This campsite is great for those who want to experience the natural beauty of camping by the coast, but with a bit of luxury thrown in. There are an impressive variation of facilities on offer from an open air pool to a craft workshop area, so plenty to keep everyone amused. The site also provides a number of activities such as pony riding, archery and shooting making it a great place to take children.
