Ingredients you will need:
225g of self-raising flour
3 tbsp of olive oil with a little extra for frying
And for the topping:
1 tsp of olive oil
1 diced onion
3 cloves of crushed garlic
250g of halved cherry tomatoes
4 tbsp passata
50g of grated cheese
Fresh basil leaves
Steps to take:
- Light your BBQ and place a frying pan on top of the grill.
- Add some oil to the frying pan and allow it to heat up.
- Place the diced onion and crushed garlic into the pan and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes and passata and leave to simmer for 5-10 mins.
- Remove from the heat and add your basil, then leave to cool.
- Next, put the flower in a bowl and add the olive oil and 7 tbsp of warm water to make a soft dough.
- On a floured surface roll out the dough to fit the frying pan.
- Heat some oil in a clean frying pan and then press the dough into the pan.
- Cook on a medium/ low heat for 10-12 minutes until the base is golden.
- Spread the sauce on top of the base and leave to cook for a further few minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
