Many of us Brits embark on camping holidays each year, here are 10 inevitable things you can expect to experience on your camping holiday…
Constant pre-camping weather checks- we all know that the British weather can be unreliable (mostly rainy)… so our fingers are crossed for you!
You will have to travel with half your luggage on you lap- camping is not something you can pack lightly for. It is inevitable that someone will have to be squished in the back of the care with the luggage, so be prepared.
Half way there you will realise you have forgotten something important- with everything there is to remember to pack for a camping holiday you’ll probably end up forgetting something. You will then have to make the decision… do without, or pay the overpriced onsite camping shop prices.
People with ‘smart’ tents- when camping you can guarantee to see someone who has spent hundreds of pounds on the latest ‘super’ tent, you may laugh, but we all know that everyone is secretly jealous.
People with ‘pop-up’ tents- there will also be people with good old pop up tents, (if it’s not you) you’ll be sure to laugh at them too.
You will have to brave the toilets and shower rooms- we can safely say that campsite facilities are not always the cleanest, so take plenty of baby wipes with you.
You will have to chase bugs out of your tent- being at one with nature means that you are sure to get some visitors!
Someone will trip over a guy rope- be careful when walking around at night (and in the day) tripping over and falling onto someone else’s tent could get you in a whole lot of trouble.
You will probably encounter a leak- as mentioned before the great British weather can never be reliable… neither can tents. Leaks through the roof or floor are to be expected on any camping trip.
You will vow to never go camping again… but we will see you again next year for sure.
