If you’re getting married this year, have you considered a holiday lodge honeymoon? According to independent holiday park consortium Best of British, romantic breaks for two in the UK are the latest trend for couples on a tight budget.
Best of British surveyed its members and found that a rising number of lovebirds were choosing to escape to a holiday lodge after their wedding reception to avoid the cost of hiring a hotel suite.
Some opted to upgrade their outdoor living experience by hiring a ‘glamping pod’ for the night or treating themselves to a spa treatment when they arrived on-site.
“We think that… [we] could see more couples than ever making a romantic start to their married lives on our members’ holiday parks,” commented Claire Jeavons, Best of British chairman. “Young lovers can enjoy some great benefits – such as a much more intimate and peaceful environment than a busy hotel.”
Of course, it’s not just honeymooners who enjoy the relaxing environment of a holiday lodge – more and more people are opting to invest in a static holiday home for UK breaks throughout the year.
